Redentor “Red” Quiambao and Harold Khan are the two Filipino founders of HeySnails who introduced Letter Up and Hey Snails Visual during the world’s largest game industry event, the Game Developers Conference, which was held last March 25-29 in San Francisco. The Game Developers Conference (GDC) is attended by big name industries like Microsoft, Blizzard Entertainment, Nintendo and Intel and Zynga. In front of over 22, 500 GDC participants, Red and Harold showcased their most prided two social games, Letter Up and Hey Snails Virtual World. These two games are believed to be the “social game to watch out for.”
For those who like word games, Letter Up would be the perfect game for you. Letter Up is a multiplayer word game that is played in “real time.” Within a week after its launching in beta, there are already thousands of people who installed the game app and it is now growing at an exciting pace. Those who have tried the game claimed that it is more exciting and more fun than any other word game. The developers of the app are now making their move for the game to be available on mobile devices.
On the other hand, Hey Snails Virtual World is like a hangout for kids. They could play games and chat with other players their age. Hey Snails Virtual World is a colorful social game hangout because it is filled with unique and lovely snail characters as the main protagonists. It has been predicted that “snails” are going to be big this year because of its uniqueness. Using snails as characters seems to create more excitement and buzz among Facebook gamers.
