WebGeek Philippines is pleased to be holding a hackathon called “WebGeek DevCup” together with Ideaspace, Smart DevNet, Meralco, Amazon Web Services and Mozilla Philippines on August 25 at Ortigas, Pasig City. Web Developers, Designers & Geeks are encouraged to join for a 6 hours of coding, fun and learning from peers and mentors.

“August 25, 2012 will be the day that will give rise to the best web application that can be created in just six hours.” – WebGeek Team described the event as “A great opportunity for all web and software development enthusiasts to put forth their best ideas, feel challenged, get recognized, and have the most fun in a day!”

The participants of WebGeek DevCup will be given six hours to conceptualize, develop, and create a web app that will be aligned with the theme prescribed in the event. At the end of the allotted time, the finished web apps will be demo and presented to the panel of judges that consist of seasoned gurus in the fields.
